New Music School, Cultural Center, & Outdoor Performance Venue to Launch on Maui.

Maui Future Arts at Alelani to Perpetuate Culture Through Music Education,
Classes and Performances to be Avaiable Via The World Wide Web.

/24-7PressRelease/ - August 01, 2007 - On Saturday August 18th, Maui Future Arts at Alelani, in Kula, (recently founded by Peggy Baldwin, Bennet Baldwin, Roger Clay, and Jonathan Block), has the privilege of launching a long overdue music and cultural education center, while hosting a series of live music benefit concerts in the remarkable Haku Baldwin Garden, 3,500 feet above the sea on Haleakala.

Classes in Kula commence in January of 2008, are free to qualifying students, and will be taught by Maui musicians and music instructors. To celebrate this realization of a dream to perpetuate culture through music education, the inaugural occasion will feature a special performance by the Manao Radio Orchestra. Bradah Larry, of the Hailiimaile Band will open the show at 5:30PM, performing solo acoustic guitar at sunset. Afterwards, the Manao Radio Orchestra will light up the night in the Haku Baldwin Garden.

In a recent release, co-founders Roger Clay and Jonathan Block state: "We look forward to setting the stage for the children of Hawaii and future generations by teaching them not only how to play musical instruments, but to understand how music impacts the world by perpetuating culture. We aspire to teach every facet of the music industry and our curriculum and classes, via the world-wide-web, will be available to students and learning institutions around the world."

"In addition, the outdoor entertainment areas at Alelani will offer the people on this beautiful island a world-class environment in which to experience music and other forms of performing arts and entertainment. We are proud to present the Manao Radio Orchestra as our first headliner."

The Saturday night "Concerts on The Crater" series will benefit the Non Profit Corporation, Maui Future Arts. Capacity will be limited to 100 people and Donations/Reservations will be available through MauiFutureArts.Org as of Friday, August 3rd, or by calling 808-878-8714. Donations/Reservations are $50.00 each and include, parking, entertainment, heavy pu pus, and non-alcoholic beverages.
