Introducing Maui Future Arts, at Alelani, a long overdue music school and cultural education center in Pukalani, Maui, Hawaii at 111 Makawao Avenue dedicated to perpetuating culture through music education

In a time of expiring culture, when traditional music education programs are being cut back and even eliminated, music has instinctively rediscovered its roots. Maui Future Arts is dedicated to reuniting music with its culture once again; and thereby, restoring them as one, stronger than ever to guide our future generations.

By teaching established musical influences to the children before these invaluable influences expire, and by blending established traditions with fresh musical styles and influences, we will thereby create a new musical culture and impact the world. To teach one child to play the ukulele, another to learn sound techniques, and a third to learn production, thereby inspiring them to become professionals is our mission.

Presently on Maui there are many immensely talented musicians performing virtually every style of popular music. Maui Future Arts will be a constant forum enabling these talented artists to continually enrich our musical and cultural environment.

Maui Future Arts has a student curriculum and recruits musicians and music instructors to conduct free classes to qualified students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Classes will commence in January 2008.

Maui Future Arts is funded through private donations as well as fundraising events where live music is played and donations are accepted. These donations will enable us to maintain and continually improve our curriculum and the grounds of Alelani. We will also develop additional classroom areas and plan to turn an existing horse stable into a recording studio/classroom where every facet of the music industry will be taught.

Maui Future Arts is organized exclusively for educational purposes under section 501(c)(3), of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

Maui Future Arts aims to set the stage for the children of Hawaii and future generations by teaching them not only how to play musical instruments, but to understand how music impacts the world by perpetuating culture. Our curriculum and classes, via the world-wide-web, will always be available to students and learning institutions around the world.

In addition, the outdoor entertainment areas at Alelani will offer the people of this beautiful island a world-class environment in which to experience music and other forms of performing arts and entertainment.
